this is an old composite i found in the Kappa Sig house from the 1990s. The composites still have the same look to it but with a more decorative typeface. This type found on this composite is obviously influenced by the old english style lettering, much like lindsay's Dallas morning news. the fraternity was founded in the 1800s with an extensive history, and we probably use this type on the composite photos to give it that historical feeling to it.

Being greek is all about carrying on traditon, recalling your fraternity's history and establishing an authoritative feel. I think this typeface is perfect for a composite. It compliments the Kappa Sig's formal wear...cute, Tyler.

I've noticed a lot of times that when groups, especially at universities, or universities themselves use this typeface when they want to look established, or important. especially in your case, this presents a history, and tradition to new and current members of your fraternity.

Color me cool...you are correct. Greek groups are all about traditon. Using this same typeface year to year in the Fraternity's composite pictures help enforce the importance of brotherhood and the traditions of the fraternity.
