Guitar yeah!

While riding in the fun Jetta with Jenna we spotted this awesome store. How could we not take a picture of this beauty? The guitar shape helps form the natural curve of the capital letterform G. What's cool is you can definitely read the Guitar Center part while still enjoying the art form of the the Guitar/G. The guitar shape symbolizes and creates the letterform G.

I've always thought the implied "g" in this sign was stretching legibility a bit. I kind of see a lower case "g" rather than a capital. Even that's difficult to interpret.

linday is mean. i like it. sometimes you have to sacrifice legibility for a good concept. and i think guitar center made a good trade. back off linds

I think the "G" is made legible because of how recognizable the rest of the word is. And the guitar is altered enough to make it obvious what it's supposed to be representing. I've always liked this logo - and it was actually the one I was planning on using! You beat me...

i have enver ever seen a g in there. i always just read it as the image then center rather than trying to connect the guitar and uitar. which is amazing bc you would think that would have bothered me by now.

I agree that the guitar is a stretch but because the image is leaning and implies a guitar; the logo is still successful
