this is my body.

This is my friend Kelly. She's recently developed an addiction to getting new tattoos. When I asked her about her newest tat, she explained that her decision about the typeface was guided by a graphic designer friend of hers. They settled on one similar to American Typewriter, but a little rougher and less perfect. I love it - most tattoos I see have very elaborate and decorative fonts. This one's nice and simple.
I'd never get a tattoo, but if I did, I really feel like it would be a word or phrase - something typographic rather than image-oriented. This one's a great example of why that works so well!

I think the typeface works well because it stands alone, i think with an image it would look childish and out of place.

the type face works very well here. the serifs are like those of a typewriter typeface...it works well..more powerful statement that way...cool tattoo

i really like the fact that she used serifs, it works really well with the statement she is making. its nothing over done, or all designy, its simple, straight forward.
